Students reviewed for their test by playing Jeopardy as a class on Tuesday.
Tuesday, Oct. 16th
Students took their test over Chapter 18 Sections 1, 2, and 3.
Homework: Complete the reading notes from Chapter 19 Section 1 up to the section "The Rise of Napoleon" on page 3 by Friday, October 19th. The remaining pages will be checked for a grade on Monday, October 22nd.
Wednesday, Oct. 17th
Pre-AP: Students meet to discuss source help and annotations. We also fielded questions and concerns students had.
5th and 6th Period: Students watched a video on the American Revolution from the series "America, The Story of Us." Students wrote down events they believed were influenced by Enlightenment ideas.
Homework: Complete the reading notes from Chapter 19 Section 1 up to the section "The Rise of Napoleon" on page 3 by Friday, October 19th. The remaining pages will be checked for a grade on Monday, October 22nd.
Thursday, Oct. 18th
In the morning students took the Explore test which is a pre-ACT test. The test went from 1st - 4th period. Afternoon classes watched a video on the French Revolution and worked on their reading notes in class.

Friday, October 19th
Students will be introduced and discuss the French Revolution. We will begin by looking at what it was, where and when it occurred, and how and why it happened. Then we will look at the events chronologically up to Napoleon's coup d'etat in 1799.

HENDRIX RESEARCH SATURDAY!!!, October 20th
Pre-AP National History Day students are invited to come up to Hendrix library this Saturday to get a tour of the resources Hendrix has to offer the CJHS students. 1st period: 1 - 2; 2nd period: 2 - 3; and 4th period: 3 - 4. See the letter your student got last week for more information. Students were given a form on Wednesday that needs to be completed so student can check out books from the Bailey library.
